16" BBS on W108 (pictures)

I mounted my bbs wheels on my dads (maybe mine next summer) 280se -67.
What do you guyテつエs think?
I must say the handling feels like a different car in corners! So good now!
Today i replaced the licensplates with new ones, looks much better now! (not on the picテつエs)

Next summer the car maybe gets a new paintjob! [:)]
Later when ne snow comes, i gonna put the 7x15" baroquerims on the car also. Think that gonna looks nice. (fun to test different looks of wheels)[:p]

Hi,

I think they just don't belong on a beautiful classic car.

I like my 67 300 SEL with the stock 14" rims and the
hubcaps.

These 16" rims give the car a "pimped out" look.
Just my humble opinion.

Best regards

Hans

been into VW's for quite some time now... everyone that owns a mkII(85-92 jetta and gti) seems to rock those or similar BBS rims... that car is far too classy to sport those. don't get me wrong they look great, but i think they just don't compliment the car enough.

Normally I'm leery of retrofit wheels, but I think these BBS wheels complement the car pretty well. With the new paint job it's gonna be a knockout!

Thankz for your comments!
The original 5,5x14" steel rims with the 2-teil hubcaps is stored, also have another 14" hubcaps in stainless steel (mb) to it.
For the winter i gonna put 6x14" baroquerims on it. But i think a 14" rim look tiny on a big w108.
Hehe..youテつエre right about the "pimped ou" look i think [;)]

Yes i think the wheels is more "right" on my -85 w123. The rims are "80テつエs" rims also, i know.

The best rims for a w108 maybe is the 15" baroquerims.
