I'm 39 & I absolutely trust and adore my 1974 W115 240D & 1977 W123 300D. I use both alternately on weekdays. My 1972 450SLC on weekends

I'm 34. In 2006, I purchased an '06 C230 sport. That was my first new car purchase. In December of 2011 (after months of searching), I purchased a 1969 280se I6, my first car older than myself. I use the vehicle as a "daily" driver. I use the word daily loosely, driving maybe 1-2 miles a day average. Loving it so far-

Well, I'm older than most of you who posted, in some cases by a factor of 2. But, it's how old you feel inside that counts. My first driveable car in High School was a 1963 Mercedes 220S with the 4spd on the column. Got me hooked on the European stuff right away. Currently own 3 Mercedes among others.

1973 Mercedes 450SLC (PineGreen/MahoganyLeather)
1981 Mercedes 380SL FORSALE (LtIvory/PalominoMBTex)
1984 Mercedes 500SEC Euro (040Black/BlackLeather)
1992 Mercedes 300SL-24 Signal Red/Black Leather

Im 27 and had a 7 series BMW for a while,
loved it to death but it was just too much work for all the effort, and then as the price came down all the kids around town seemed to have them!!
i bought my merc because i wanted something i could work on and get alot of enjoyment out of.
so far it outweighs the 7 series 10 to 1

46 when I bought our 73 280 sedan. She was an ivory beauty with only 70K, blue leather interior & had an early type steering wheel plus column shifter. Engine was the M110 twin cam 6. When I was 56, I found a low mileage 76 280S in Caledonian Green with a white leather interior. Lost it a few years later to a head on collision with a city transit bus. We both were unhurt and the doors still opened! During all those years, my DD was a 71 BMW Bavaria with factory 4 spd, a built big six & Weber carbs. I'm 72 now and wish I still had all 3 cars.

My 1955 300 SL wasn't "vintage" when I bought it in 1964. It is now and so am I.
