I am now 42. Bought my first Mercedes 3 years ago. It is a 1971 280SEL. I am now forced to drive it daily for work. I don't like to do that, but my wife's newer car is down with a bad tranny, don't have the $ to fix it right now. However, driving my 280 every day has really made me appreciate it that much more. I drive about 40 miles round trip every day and my engine needs a serious rebuild. But it gets me to work every day and back home again, without fail. Plus, it's great just for the ego boost, I get great comments almost every day, what a perk.

on my second at 50

I am a 50 year old female on my second MB. I had my first (75 240D) last year until some old bad driver ran into me. Just bought the second (74 450SEL with a changed out turbo diesel motor) yesterday. I want to work on it myself and so am trying to determine the year of the engine right now. Wish me luck!

I guess I'm the only acknowledged 70 years old on this Forum. My first MB was a '57 190SL that I restored when I was 35; the second MB was a '79 300D (a daily driver that was sold after 240,000 miles) when I was in my 40s; and now my '65 220Sb (probably older than 50% of you) that I plan to restore.

I'm 26 with a 1969 280se which I always wanted after seeing one drive past me years ago. Even found one in the exact same Anthracite paint just like the one I saw when my jaw hit the floor.

Also have a C43 as a daily now. LOVE mercedes. Used to have a w202 as well back in Australia. Got that when I was 21.

I'm 45 and I bought my first MB 5 years ago. It was a 180d Ponton which I restored and now use occasionally. I acquired a w124 200d about 3 years ago which I now use as a daily driver. I also acquired a w115 200d last year which I'm having repainted at the moment.

I bought my fintail when I was 18. It's been almost that many years since I bought it,and I still have it. I also have owned a W126, a C43, and a W210 E55 in the following years. You get hooked.
