The horn is currently not working in my '72 250C. The steering wheel switch tests good with a continuity meter, and the horns blare if I wire them directly to a battery, so the problem is somewhere in-between. The fuse for the horn is also good. Is there a horn relay somewhere in the circuit as well? I traced the wiring harness under the hood as best I could and didn't see anything, but there are relays under the dash that I haven't identified yet. I just bought the car a few days ago, and this is the only thing keeping me from getting a state inspection, so any help would be appreciated.
No r4elay,but you should have continuos power to the horns at all times, they are wired in series so if one goes out because of a disconnection you lose the lot.The power travels from the horns to the wheel where they go to earth via the horn button.
Checvk to make sure the horns are live, and that AL connections are in good conditon.

Thanks - the horns are getting power, so I guess they're just not getting grounded when I press the horn ring. They're aftermarket replacements (Hellas) that the previous owner put on, so there's probably just a connector somewhere that's pulled loose.
