W111 wooden tray between front seats

Advice please . . . I have the opportunity to buy the original factory wooden oddments tray that sits between the front seats in a W111.
My car is a '69 280SE, and this piece comes from a '61 220SE. My car currently has a trimmed cushion sitting in that spot. But it's never been properly bolted in, and doesn't look or feel quite right.
Does anyone know what the standard set up is on later model W111s? Thanks. [8D]
