RE: Braking issues with 280C...still....
Well, I just got finished pulling the rear calipers. The brake pad pins were so thoroughly rusted that I couldn't knock them out and I figured that I'd clean and paint the calipers while I was at it. That, and replace the rear rotors. They have some light pitting from rust, but I figured I might as well do it now. I managed to snap a very small section of hard line while trying to remove the driver's side (it attaches between the caliper and the rubber line), so I've got to replace that. The rubber lines looked good.
I'm going to rebuild the rear calipers, paint them, and re-install with new pads and shims, as well as new pad pins, bleeder screws, etc. Hopefully things will go along smoothly enough, but if they don't then you all know where I'm coming to[:)]
