BEWARE this guy - he IS knowledgeable, but he's a con man.
For those others in Portland,( i'm in Brisbane Australia,But have contacts in Washington and Oregon) wanting work done on the older mercs,go to larry at MBI .He's resposible for some outstanding work on a lot of mercs over the years.

Seat belts are easy

Buy new lap and diagonal belts, old belts with faded webbing are dangerous .New retractor belts are available from a lot of sources and can be found anywhere .
And yes they had retractors back then,i have a set in mine that were fitted when the car was new.and yes they will be replaced before the car reaches the road again ( repaint time)

If you do find belts and want to sell yours, I'm needing something for the back seat of mine.

They don't make anything like they used to. In fact, they never did.
