1975 280S wheel fitment/ offset question

I have searched this forum and google and seem to find many conflicting answers- does anyone know the offset for the W116? I am trying to rebuild the entire car and put some modern rims on it. I'd even like to lower the car somewhat, just to get rid of some of the gap (I don't even know where to begin looking for lowering springs for a 20 year old car). Anyway, I found this set of monoblock rims, and they supposedly fit older mercedes models- will they fit on my car without spacers?

Fits SL OLDER SEC E AND SEL-Class Mercedes-Benz
Quantity Set of four
Size (front) 17x8.5
Size (rear) 17x8.5
Condition New never been mounted
Finish Silver
Offset 13MM
Bolt Pattern 5x112MM
Includes Caps
Manufactured Original equipment replica manufactured in Italy.

I can't find many pictures of W116s with aftermarket rims (two on the entire internet). And I haven't seen one with monoblocks. Here's what they'd look like on my car (ignore the 5 minutes photoshop job).

With those rims, the W116 almost has a Bentley look to it, especially with the Bentley-esque roofline. I wonder if 18" would fit (the photo I made looks more like the car if it were fitted with 18s). It is hard to make a W116 stand out, but I think the new paint and monoblock rims would do it.

RE: 1975 280S wheel fitment/ offset question

I have installed late model wheels on my car and have gone through much research for my installation. For my particular installation I had to convert to studs and use spacers. Here are some links you may find usefull:

My link for springs does not work anymore but there is a company that makes performance springs for older Mercedes. You may have to do some research to find them.

Here's a pic of my wheels(16x8 600SL wheels with 225/55/16)
