W114 body type. Coupe. Carburettored 2.5 litre engine.
These are the base model in the six cylinder range of that styling, with the carbie equipped smaller engine.
There's an injected version called the 250CE which performs a lot better and you can pick up dirt cheap. 2-3K AUD (around US$2000), in good nick.
The 280CE in the range is the one to get. They're worth a bit more.
In sales talk, that makes the 250C a "good first car."
But it'd want to be in superb condition (for its age), to justify a buyer not going for the injected version, or pay just a little bit more for a 280C or CE.
You could pay them to buy the car...
Some people like 'em. I'll be in the market for one myself in another two months, so long as it's in good nick. A 250C suits me because the motor's coming out anyway.
