1968 280 SL question

A very close friend's family has owned the same 280 SL since new, first driven by the mother, now by the son. It is one of the first cars delivered in the USA, being chassis number 000198. Since it was for a lady, it was ordered with the Borg Warner automatic. The Pagoda website is "unavailable," and I was wondering what information anyone here can provide, based upon the chassis number. Original color was anthracite silver. The car has been mechanically and cosmetically restored, but I am trying to determine if the engine block is original, as it has been completely overhauled, along with the transmission, which is known to be the original. Prior to its restoration, a local gas station was looking after it, so over the years we don't know if the engine block was changed, although the head had to be replaced. I've known the car for over 20 years and am trying to gain some insight. Thanks for any assistance.

I just checked the Pagoda website and it's working for me.
