Sold '59 220SE Coupe

Just as a matter of general interest, I have sold my 1959 220SE Coupe. The buyer lives in Hamburg, Germany. He drove the car from Lyle, WA to Los Angeles and shipped it to Hamburg. When I asked him why he had to buy this particular car he replied "you can't find this model in Germany. We see them in old ads, but you never see one on the street." It's a good feeling to know that it will be well taken care of by the new owner.

ofcourse you can find cars like that one in gernamy, you can check if you want at www.mobile.de, there 2-3 there cabrio and coupes. your car must had the ignition engine and the bigger lights in front if it is '59 model. as far as i know for somebody to by a car from america(especially west coast) to europe the motivation has to come from the price. i bought a 220se cabrio '58 in greece 16 months ago, the car was in perfect(i mean it) confition, and luckyly i bought only for 42.000 euros(46.000 dollars). May i ask how much did you sell yours for? there is a crazy guy here which has one like yours in bad condition, a bit rusty, and asks for 60.000 euros

i just show your older advert for the car. i show the price too. I had seen that before I wouldn't had send my previous e-mail. I sorry to be the one that informed you that you sold your car cheap. I regret even more that I didn't see before because I would had bought it and take it to greece.
