Hi,

very nice restoration you are doing here.
But what came over you to put these horrible
rims on the car????
They belong on a worn out 84 500 SEL but not on
a gorgeous W108.[?][?][?][xx(][xx(][xx(]

Best regards

Thanks Hans for the comments,

I always loved big shiny rims and when finding these out in california, I quickly fell in love with them. I ride on them only in summer time, and go back to my factory wheels with chrome hub cabs in the fall. No driving at all in the winter.

Hi,

even though I am not "eveyone" I still "dig" the
"gkky" (whatever that is) look of the factory rims.
IMHO Mercedes created a beautiful car back then
and it should be preserved and not butchered or to
look like a "souped up riceburner".

Best regards
Hans

A pitty about your first 108. While I don't hate the 18's I prefer the pics with the original wheels on it.

The new rims look cool..

As long as you didn't throw the original wheels away ... So you still have them to switch back.
