Hello. There is a 1971 Mercedes-Benz 220 sedan for sale near me, and I was wondering if they are a good car to own. I have looked at it a few times, but I have no idea about the engines in them or how they run. Could someone please fill me in? Thank you very much!
I have a 72 220 saloon, and its a great car... its a great ride, and the engine seems to go forever. I had an accident where the sump folded up and covered the inlet to the oil pump which siezed the top end of the engine; it all came apart, went back together and fired up straight away!
I think overall its a great car, and I get to cruise in a stack headlight while Im saving for a pagoda!
