RE: hydro suspension help!!!

Have you tried "Checkups, hydropneumatic suspension (116.036)" from http://skinnerbox.steaky.org/Service...cksSprings.htm?

RE: hydro suspension help!!!

Oh -- sorry -- I didn't realize. I guess they're still working on getting that stuff online. The information I was try to point you toward was the Mercedes factory service manual for a 6.9, which has the very same suspension as your car.

I'm not real sure just what it's worth, but enough to figure out a solution to your problem unless it's trashed.

RE: hydro suspension help!!!

Here is the place to start digging for help on your 6.9 suspension. As far as value goes, it was always assumed that this vehicle would make classic status, but didn't. Real MB people know that one in great shape is something special. http://www.m-100.org/6point9/. The owner of the site is an expert on it and 600s. Good luck.

1982 380SL (schwarzekatz)
1984 300TDT (why did I get rid of the best one?)
1992 300E (gone and forgotten)
1993 190E (daughter drives)
1994 E320 Wagon (gone and forgotten)
2002 ML320 (thank goodness for extended warranty)

RE: hydro suspension help!!!

You need to post your question at http://www.m-100.cc/the old M-100 .org site is dead now.
Bleeding the suspension is as easy as just starting the engine, and remeber you are dealing with close 4000 PSI !!! of Hydrualic pressure!.
start from here:Lift the car and place it onjack stands so the wheels are hanging down, then:
1/ Place the height control in "N"
2/check your oil level( do NOT use hydrualic oil!!!)
3/ start the engine and run it@2000RPM for 30 seconds to fill the control reservoir, twice as long if the entire system needs filling.
4/Lower the car and it should be at the correct height.
If this doesn't work go to the above site and ask what to do,You will get an answer very quickly.
