kool, at least we have company...

Yes, i really like mine. it runs really good; no major probs. I do have to do M mounts and front, front sub frame bushings and the rest of the steering, plus shocks and some little stuff this winter. (clock, Becker FM)

I have a w114 , 280 CE 1972 and I am thinking of coverting it into a cabrio. What do you think?

I've seen a lot of those attempts butchered. You have a nice car right now -- my recommendation would be to keep it that way.

i surely don't want to discurage you but wouldn't it be easier just to get a 107 or a 111 cabrio?

I have never seen a 114/115 cabrio and imagine it would be kinda hard to manufacture some of the little stuff especially if you want to have a retractable roof...just my 2 pence...

why not make it as a removable "hardtop" and set it up so you can attach the roof, and remove it when you want to run the cabrio.

although, i have also seen alot of butchered jobs.
