Shouldn't you trade that 560 for a Mark series or an ElDorado?

RE: Vintage Forum Official Photo Gallery

Here is What I am working on. I am truning my 1967 250SE right hand drive into a slick custom cruizer. I will be ticking off some purists, but what the hell. It is worth it. It is in the process of having the roof chopped 3-4 inches. Will hae a full custom interior that will look like a 60's concept car interior. No Hot Rod flat door panel crap. It will have a wine cooler, a cigar humidor and a very elegant, classy custom interior. We are putting in fast bags. There will be no chrome on the car. All the bright work is going to be nickel plated. Engine: the engine on the car right now runs like a swiss watch. I think the vintage Mercedes engines are a pleasure just to look at, so micky mouse chevy 350 will go into this to make it quicker. I am thinking either supercharging the straight 6 or putting in a 6.3, if I find one. To me that is one ofe most beautiful engines ever built, ofcourse no question about the power. Let me have your thoughts. If anyone can help me locate a 6.3 engine/trans for a low price please let me know.

Man oh Man you must have a lot of faith in whoever is going to cut 40 year old glass[:D]
It will look cool, but as a owner of a M-100 car(300SEL 6.3) i can tell you that eBay is the best bet to find a 6.3 engine, count on buying a complete "project"
At the moment there are eight 6.9's on american ebay .Same basic engine but with Kjet injection and the 3 speed 722 trans.and Dry sump so you can get the engine right down and lower your car with out worrying about punching a hole in that alloy sump.-
Come and visit us at www.m-100.cc[}:)][8D][}:)][8D]

mercmad...thank you for the info... I can't open the website....

I, also, wanted to add that this project is going to be featured on Discovery channel. There is a new show coming up and I am the designer for the series called "the Kustomizer". This car is going to be on that show so I am looking for sponsors to provide parts or services for the show and in return be exposed on the series. If anyone is interested or knows someone that would be please contact me, Kahren, at info@exotic-concepts.com

enjoy the pics.... I will have some images of the custom interior soon

I will have to find pictures of my 65 MB 190 college project to scan an post. I can't believe I sold it for $800 ten years ago. No real internet back then and never could find a power brake booster that worked.

As for American products.
I am a Classic Mustang owner and lover too.
I know they aren't really old enough for vintage. I liked early Lincoln's and the Tucker.

But the hands down maker of the highest quality Amerian product was Packard! 1899-1958 except 43-45 when their engines were winning the second world war in P-51 Mustangs and PT boats.

Newbie here. This is my '66 250se Coupe

Hi All,
I bought this near Fisherman's Warf in San Fransisco back in '92. Blaugrun with cognac and rosewood interior, 4spd manual on the floor and sunroof (as you can see. It's a German issue car, but had the USA DOT Quad lights which I've replaced. I rebuilt the transmission in '92 after the mainshaft bearings failed and locked the it in 2 gears while going down the road. I've also put a complet axle assembly from a 280 4.5 in it so it's really nice on the freeway.
