Nice, looks right up the road from where I was. That day I drove the old beast all the way up to sunrise, car didn't miss a beat.

My son in law and me are owners of this two cars from the fifties. Mine is the 170S - W136040. It was last restored 1986 and is still in good condition.

Hello guys im new, i have seen some great pictures here! I was wondering if you can help me, not sure its the right thread but anyways. I came across this picture of a pre-war Mercedes with very interesting French looking coachwork. Does anyone know what is it?

Thank you!

Hey I have a 1973 220D w115.

I have a quick kind of dumb question. I just got this car and have been working on getting it in perfect shape. Do you know how well it handles at freeway speeds? (70-75 mph)

Hogfan,

I would think it would handle fine, but my 1971 220d does not like to go that fast. I cruise at 55-60. I have rarely seen 65mph. The mechanic in San Antonio that worked on mine said "55 mph-it will run forever-no 65-70".
Hope this helps.
