The original 2.5 liter inline six with its automatic have been removed and have been replace with a 5.7 liter 300 horsepower V8.
Now that it is running, the next step is to sort out any slight issues from the powertrain conversion.
An interesting point - the pre-conversion weight was 3500 lbs. With the new engine/transmission (and larger radiator), the "new" car weighs in at only 3380lbs. - so, more power and less weight....
Those front brakes will still have to be replaced with something a little more substantial in the very near future.
Then, when all the mechanical updates have been completed, the bodywork will follow.
Best part is that the exhaust pipe almost look stock, so no one will be able to tell .....

Hey man, I had no ide you had already finished your project Niiceee, I am sure it flys and is fun to drive...You need different wheels though, get some smoothies, 18 0r 17 inch and try to incorporate the MBZ hubcaps into them....Lower the car too....OVERALL GREAT JOB MAN

My new project. Stored in a barn Started every other month. Drove her to the Gas station and put in a full tank and drove home, about 1.5 hours. No problems. Just cleaning and tuning.
