Here are my MB Babies

The 108 (250S) was bought by my father in Nov. 1967 and was given to me by my mother after dad passed in Dec. 1990. It is totally original, including the paint, and when not in use, has always been garaged. I purchased the 114 (280C) in April of 1986. I am really the second owner. The original owner gave it to his mom, and she planned to tow a camp trailer with it. After discovering that was a bad idea, she sold it to me. I do all the maintenance and upkeep on both.

Newbie's 1970 250C

Hi,

I'm new to Mercedes & to this forum. Today I brought home a 1970 250C.

119k, I'm the 3rd owner, lots of service records & original manuals, pristine interior, good chrome & glass, some rust underneath but not too bad.

Drove her home on twisty back roads & on the interstate. Rides great, shifts well, runs smooth, no smoke or leaks. Very Happy!

I think I'll call her "Ethyl" (the original 1970 Owner's Manual says she runs on 98 octane "ethyl" gasoline...)

Here she is:

She's a beauty! I especially like that color combo'. The seats look great, which makes me wonder how many miles are on ol' Ethyl? Here's my '70 280SL...

1957 219

I was in the army from 1967 to 1970 and after training, spent my whole tour in Germany.

While there I bought a 1957 219. A couple of interesting things about the car were .... the four speed shifter was on the steering column and the turn signals were activated by turning the horn ring. It was too bad that the motor died after about four months. The picture isn't of mine but it was the same.
