Very clean for an oldie/goody! Must have an AZ pedigree. Post some before and after pics when you get it modded-up...

Welcome a(to the)board!!

My new 220D

I just became the proud new owner of a 1969 220D.
It's my first Mercedes. I think I'm in love.

Floormats

I forgot to take out the homeade 1970's carpet floormats before taking the pictures.
The original carpet is still in really good shape. No rust under the floormats. A little rust behind the rear wheels. I'll need to adress that before long.

I like the screwdriver ignition option. That was a hot luxury that year, no? along with the virgin mary air freshener. classy.

yikes, all those cracks in the dash, reminds me of the old AZ days. I would suggest buying a mercedes from a climate they were designed to operate in. Think temperate, not desert.

I picked up mine, no cracks are all, no faded leather, everything is perfect and I only paid 1000$ . (and YES , it runs like a champ. ) I might post some pics if I get into this forum.

280SE 3.5 (w108)

Hi folks, meet Bluey. She's a 1972 w108.057 with a m116.980 engine. She's far from perfect, but I'll keep working at it! Cosmetically she needs a few touches of TLC, but once she gets running, it feels like she could run forever!
