79 450SL Idle problem

I had a high idle problem - when cold my 450 would idled @ 1800-2000 rpm's, it would take about 10 minutes to drop to 700-600 rpm's.
I removed & cleaned airflow sensor plat, replaced all vacuum hoses, replaced auxilary air value. This corrected high rpm problem. Now my 450 will not idle when it warms up. Could this be a fuel problem?

RE: 79 450SL Idle problem

Hi...
well.. I assume you adjusted the idle???
On the bypass valve the is the idle adjust screw.. needs to be adjusted to about 750RPM when warm...

Did you check your fuel pressure?
Did you check your control pressure?
Please post the results.
Do the plugs look fouled?

Cheers Mike
