RE: 1969 220SEb Hotrod!

i like the stance, but the SBC and getto wheels need to go. Rather stand alone FI on a 6.3 and run turbos or a supercharger. I like the white one though, super low pro's with factory hub caps are pimp in my book.

Anybody heard how that guy (choptop250se) is coming along who was going to chop the top on one?

Performance parts for w126, r/c107, w201, m117, m119, m102, m104 and few other things.

Reproduction 17" Penta wheels coming soon.

What do you guys think of this finnish 220SEb hotrod?
Maybe I woould have chosen other wheels, but I like it!
A 220Seb isn't rare or very valuable so it isn't like he destroyed something unique especially if it was a basket case heading for the scrap heap. There are many models I'd cringe over such a transformation. Other than the rims - I like it. Typically I'm a purest - but you kept the style while adding some zing. How does it drive and handle?

RE: 1969 220SEb Hotrod!

Very well done. I would have gone with a more classic design on the wheels but the motor would have been a toss up. Very high quality on the body/interior work, and a drivetrain that, at least here in the states would be dirt cheap to keep moving. A Benz Drivetrain would cost a more and would not have anywhere near that much horsepower (that setup looked like about 500-600hp at the rear wheels based on the specs)and would have cost tons more to get up to that kind of horsepower.

i havent been on i awhile, but nice ride. i agree with the wheels....they gotta go, but very nice otherwise. i had this crazy idea to have the hub caps replicated into 16-17 inch rims. that would look great on the car if some one could CNC the pattern. cheers.

hey mercmini, very nice...got more pics???

Very nice, but I'd be impressed if it had a MBZ v12 instead of that camaro engine[:D]

The only thing I dislike is those wing mirrors.
I'm thinking of using something like these door mirrows when I re-spray mine.
