Fuel check valve.. location?

Hi folks,
since I am still waiting on my manual.. could anyone tell me the location of the check valve in the fuel pump/filter subassembly?
Is the check valve integrated in the Bosch fuel pump.. or even in the fuel filter?

Besides.. my current setup is:
fuel tank
fuel pump
fuel filter
fuel accumulator

is the fuel filter not suppose to be the first thing in the chain.. preventing the pump from beeing conterminated????
If I put a new check valve in there.... were does it belong..
a)between tank and pump
b) between pump and filter
c) between filter and accumulator

???

It’s on the “end� of the fuel pump. (see below)

Mike – it does not seem like it…

Fig. 6.11 shows the pump as the first component in the system, perhaps the Bosch pump is robust enough to handle raw fuel from the tank…
