Looking for classic SL to restore, where should I start?

Hi,
I'd like to do this as a long term project. Where can I find an old SL to restore? I'm talking about the older ones in '50 - '60. The 190SL or the 300SL.
Any recommendation?

RE: Looking for classic SL to restore, where should I start?

I wouls tart looking in Hemmings, ebay and collectorcartraderonline ....
However even totally dmeolished 300's I have seen scratching the 100k mark ... for another 100k in restoration.. they are quite pricey!
The 190's are in the low 10's in bad codition...

Have fun,
Mike

Well, the 190SL is 1955-1963, isn't it?
