1967 250 SE Voltage Regulator

I have replaced the alternator on this car, and the shop that did the work could never get it to register that it was indeed charging. New bosch... I believe the problem is (and maybe was...) that the voltage regulator is shot. The alternator has a sticker indicating that replacement of the voltage regulator is recommended when replacing the alternator. I can't find this regulator anywhere... furthermore, I believe even a NOS regulator would still leave me looking at the generator panel light on the instrument cluster 'glow' or flicker... when at idle in drive...

I have a solid-state modern voltage regulator... but dammed if I can figure out where all the connections could be, especially the panel light. That's crucial in this hookup...

Any advice is greatly appreciated.
