Does anyone know of any websites that have information on performance upgrades on the oldschool MB V8 engines. I know someone in the USA has supercharged a 6.3 but found nothing on the net. Also, has anyone put a V8 in a 114?
"THE STAR" Magazine, MBCA, did a story on the guy who maintains a garage full of 6.3's. He has installed that engine in a variety of models. Frank Barrett is the editor and can direct you to the issue.
i am about to put a SLC 450 lump (1978) into a 280CE 114 1972... my tape measure says it will fit... but I bet there will be some interesting bits...
Thats about what I was thinking of doing. Is the 6.9 physically any larger than the 450? Good luck with that, be sure to post the results. Any info would be appreciated.
