Looking for advice on a glow plug problem
Through my research, there is no power getting to the glow plugs, the unit that is bolted to the firewall and the relay. Which narrows it down to the ignition to the relay. There's some type of power loss from the ignition to the relay which turns the glow plugs on. The relay was tested and even replaced so it's not the relay.
Does anyone know the first thing I should do to troubleshoot the ignition?
Should I take it out and apart?
Could it be the key or a switch in the ignition that is not connecting, a fuse? My horn also when out around the same time. All fuses look good in the box.
Does anyone have a chassis wiring diagram for a 78 300D diesel? I bought a repair and tune up benz book that was supposed to cover the 300 but it has every diagram besides the 300d. Go figure...it never fails.
