Instrument Cluster Repair

I'm thinking of using this company to repair the faulty LCD panel on my instrument cluster for my 112 CDi (1999).

Cluster Repairs UK - Instrument cluster speedometer repair, correction, modification and spares.

Has anyone used this company before?

Thanks

Hi
I personanly haven't used them but, when mine went 2 days ago a guy from work said to use them.
He had a transit connects speedo fixed, he said he sent it off on a saturday and it came back thursday working and ready to go. hes had no problems since and that was 3 years ago.

So I'm going to be using them the secound i have a week spare where I don't need my vito. they quoted £98+vat for my speedo to be fixed.

I managed to get hold of a secound hand instrument cluster that all seems to work fine (and I was told that it worked), when I plugged it in everything worked apart from the Speedo.

Before I send the cluster off to a repair company to get the speedo fixed - is there a chance that the speedo works fine, but that this cluster is not compatable and needs reconfiguring in some way for my van? I think the van went into limp mode when I had this other cluster in place (it wouldn't go above 3000 revs which I've read is one of the characteristics of going into limp mode) but there were no warning lights on the dash.

Once I plugged the old instrument cluster back in, the van went back to normal.

Any guidance on this would be greatfully received!!

I have, unfortunately used this company.
They advertised a very fast service, but when I 'phoned to enquire about progress after about 4 days, they reacted as though I was bothering them.
I got my cluster back (eventually) and the problem was still there.
I ended up sending it back to them three times in total and they still failed to repair it. They spoke to me like shit on the phone, agreed to give me a refund, but when I got it, they had charged me for postage & handling and even had the cheek to try & sell me a second hand one, (which was about the same cost as the repair).
I went without my vehicle for about three & a half weeks and I even paid for a diagnostic check on my vehicle's electrics, as they advised me that the problem was not with the cluster, (as they'd repaired it).
I wish I'd never dealt with this company and I'd advise anyone to steer clear of them.
I should've realised by the amount of spelling mistakes on their website.

Thanks for the feedback Mysteryrider.

The fact that getting hold of them in the first place was a nightmare gave me doubts - but your experiance helped me decide to steer clear.

I have found another company that was recommended to me by a local garage:

BBA reman. ABS, ecu's, throttle bodies, air mass meters, and catalytic converters

Anyone used these guys?
