I have a 2003 Vito & I've just replaced the single front passenger seat with a double one (same model, same pattern fabric & it bolted in ok).
Unfortunately the single seat had some kind of sensor (The front passenger seat includes the Mercedes-Benz automatic child seat sensor, which deactivates airbags when an appropriate transponder-equipped baby seat is used) up in the sponge which plugged in around the battery area.
The new double seat does not have this sensor\wire so now the SRS warning light is on permanently & airbags are disabled.
To prove the system is ok I plugged the single seat sensor into the vacant plug (to fool the system) & SRS light went out.
It looks hard to pull the cable out of the single seat, surely the double seats must have come with some kind of cable plug which loops on itself to fool the system. Can I buy this cable plug & just plug it in to tell system the seat is there & ok?
Any help would be great.
