How Many?!?!?!

With my 112CDI touching the 140,000 mile mark and seemingly still going strong I wonder how many miles these engines are good for (if properly looked after)

How many miles have these engines been doing before needing "surgery"? As it looks at present my engine is going to easily outlast my rusty bodywork...................

my own has 157,000. hopefully ill get the same again.
I work with a lad with a sprinter that has over 500,000.
Dont know if this is unusual or not, its 15 years old.
Most of the guys I work with use the transits or the citreons, all relatively new in comparison.

I'm on 185,000 and it still has get up and go. it's an unfortunate example, but I recently got pinged by the local coppers doing 140km on the Hume highway.

these motors pull like billy goats, I'm just annoyed that my model didn't come out with cruise control.
