Exclamation v280 running problem ?

hi again folks

i am at my wits end with my 280 .
i have just replaced the frontpipes with cats and i now have a problem with the running i think it was there befor i replaced the exhaust but it run real bad with the leaking, ratteling cats.

i have replaced the airflow meter an no change?
it sounds very throaty when you give it a rev and a bit lumpy on tickover (thus why i thought th airflow)
it will take a rev but when you try and drive it 30/40 mph MAX with lots of banging and farting .

i am hoping that someone will know what to do ? its 30 mls to my nearest merc dealer (last resort)

i live in hope

would be grateful for any help

Hi there

I had the same problem although did not change the exhaust system.

Sounds like you might have a faulty coil pack.
