Hi,

Had a bit of a gearbox cooler leak yesterday, it was the cooler drain plug leaking past the washer. Not sure how long this has been going on but i would say a while. Transmission is acting like it's a little low on oil.
Anyway i want to check my gearbox oil level, and before anyone say's take it to a dealer please shut up thats not what these forums are about.
Right now thats out of the way, the owners manual is no help at all so i am looking for any info on how to check the level on my 280 auto box.

Looking for the correct oil to top up now, got an MB part Nnumber of
A 001 989 2203
This should also be ATF LT 71141
Any advice would be appreciated.

Get it from MB. Think it costs between £10 and £15 a litre.
