Hello
As we speak I am converting my 98 V280 to springs. I read on this forum that you have to remove two fuses for the suspension. Looking in my owners handbook the air suspension fuses seem to have other systems working from the same fuse.
Can anyone tell me the numbers of the fuses to take out ?
i.e f14 , or f1 etc .
I take it that the fuses are permantley removed.
Also for now ( until I find out which fuses ) I have just disconnected the electrical plugs from the compressor , will this be ok for now ?
Cheers Paul

I know you are trying to help me here and I am grateful........but unless it is in the bits I missed then the scan of the fuse boxes highlights the problem I have.
My motor is a V-280 ,1998.
I am referring to the left-hand-seat fuse box which I think is the one I need.
You see that in my manual fuse f1,works the air suspension control unit BUT also the Abs. So I can't take that one out ?
Fuse f7 as well as the air suspension control unit ( again) there is a whole lot of other stuff it works.Rear window wiper , heated rear window, etc, etc,
I can go on with these fuses but what I need to know by someone who has done this suspension swop is what fuses or what other way did they sort this out.
By the way shocks, springs everything done, drives just as good to me, just need to sort out the electrical side.

Reason: forgot to add model v280 1998
If you have decided to go for the mechanical suspension, then don't worry about the fuses, just leave them in place and blank off the exposed connectors at the compressor/pump location with durable moisture proof tape. Though your suspension red light in the dash will be perma-lit!

Well Punjabi got there, anyway if you have to seal up any electrical connectors use SELF AMALGAMATING tape.
Disconnect the compressor and seal it up to.
There IS others who have converted to springs here on the forum, I'm sure if you search around you will find what they done. PM them to ask the after effects if any.
