Cam Belt or Chain??

Hi,
Got a 99 Vito 110CDI, have been told by a garage that it is a cam chain on these engines, not a belt, is this right??
Does the belt that is on it just do the water pump alternator etc??
Thanks for any replys

Your van definitely has a cam belt. I will replace it for you for 400 quid.

Yours sincerely,

Yup. Add me to the list of cambelt plonkers.

When I bought my van I asked when had the cambelt been last changed. 'Never, we couldn't be bothered to do it...' came the sales guys reply with a comedy smile.

Informed me 5 minutes later they are chain.
