Don't mind at all. Only reason I've not posted anything about them before is that I know nothing about them. I don't know the offset or their width. I do know that they are not made any more.
If the previous owner (hi ) reads this he might be able to tell you more.
Actually, what I can say is the with 245 tyres the rear archs needed rolling and the fronts rub on full lock. I've just replaced two tyres that had a fair amount of tred on them when I found that the inner edges were down to the wire! I'm hoping that if I don't turn the wheel to full lock then the replacements will be OK. Can't see how they could be rubbing anything other than when on full lock anyway.
wow, if it's that bad, turn the steering full lock and have a nose around inside around the back of the wheel. You should see the remains of molten rubber stuck to the inside walls along with a distint impression of where teh wheel has been rubbing.
I think you'll be better off with 235's on the front. I remember reading somewhere (can't find the thread now ) that 235's were best suited for fronts over 245's. But I guess that's too late now that you've already replaced them.

oh, you mentioned that rears needed rolling. Is that with the standard air suspension? And was that because a lot of weight was being carried in the back? please say yes to the second question, cos otherwise i'm screwed

I'd get the tracking checked asap mate, just rubbing on full lock wont wear the tyres that unevenly, i had the same problem with the outside of mine...sounds like its squatting, wider wheels always need to be re-tracked..

Don't think the suspension being air makes any difference. With that width of tyre and that wheel offset they need doing.
The previous owner did them and as far as I am aware it was a problem without any weight being carried. Certainly it looks like it would have been a problem anyway.

The tracking and everything had been re-done since the new wheels were fitted. Perhaps I should get them re-done.
I can however hear it rubbing on full lock, can't see any bits of rubber anywhere though. I'll have a look with it on full lock to see where it's happening to make sure it's that that is doing it. Not bothered before as with the rubbing noise I assumed it must be that.
If they are definitely rubbing on full lock and it's exactly where the rubber loss was would you still recommend getting the tracking done?

i have no idea how air suspension is in comparison to standard setup so good to hear it has no affect.
I'm curious to know what the offset is on your alloys. I've just got a set which are 9" wide all round with 275/40's load rated at 105 wrapped around them with an offset of 41. Going to have to change the fronts to something around 235-245 so will have to wait and see how it pans out.
Rears are running 275 michelins with about 7mm grip left on them so wanted to keep those on there for now. More importantly they look sweet!
Question is, how the hell do i get them to sit on the back without catching doors and shredding the tyres?

Stoneboy..where are they worn , inside corner, including the sidewall or just the thread part...are they unevenly worn across the whole width...another thing to consider is if the tyres are not XL or RF they will wear badly on the shoulders...leaving loads of thread in the centers....pix might help..
BTW..what width are your alloys..?
