hi i just bought a x reg 108 cdi the miles dont show on the dash and the speedo wont go over 25 mph any ideas were to start

Check all connections on back of instrument cluster, BUT, I fear that it is one unit that will need to be replaced ...sorry

I believe it is stored on a chip in the Instrument Cluster unit, it is digital, and if it has failed then it is gonna be hard or even may not be possible.

If you replace the unit let me know and I will TRY to get hold of ur old unit and see if it possible to read it for you.

It's a scrap yard job mate, unless you are brave enough to face the Mercdads.

There's usually someone breaking a V on eBay, BUT, be careful & make sure its the same type as yours, before you bid on it.

Some of the guys selling on there just say that parts are available and to contact them by phone.

and is it a fauty speed sensor on the gear box
