V230 Still overheating

My V230 auto is still sitting just under 120 when i am stuck in traffic before the cooler fan comes on, some people i speck to say that its normal, some say it should be sitting around 80. I have replaced the radiator, thermosat and fan switch at a cost of £500 yet when in traffic the temp goesup to just under 120 before the fan kicks in,

Does anyone out there not of anything i could change/replace to ensure the fan kicks in sooner....is there such a thing as a water switch? that might need replacing or a temperature switch??

Anyone have any ideas?

If no has anyone ever fitting a switch to manuely turn the cooler fan on and off?

This is driving me MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD NOW

Please help

You could hard-wire* your fan into a switch so if you know you are going to be in traffic you could pre-empt the engine heating by switching the fan in first. My dad did this on his car.

My vito barely reaches 80 in traffic.

*Edited to add: Your override switch should be there as well as the thermostat-controlled switch...

Thanks Adam
Is the Thermostat switch seperate to the thermostat, I have had the thermostat replaced, if the thermo switch is seperate and can be replaced that might be the fault and bring the temp down.....?
