VITO heater blower not working on stage 1

Good day to all!
I am the owner of mb Vito 108CDI from 2001. Today suddenly heater blower stopped working on stage 1. All other stages working good (but too noisy). Does anybody knows where is the rhesistors are and is it possible to repair it?
Thanks in advance

Hi vwt4
You say working but noisy, could the problem be the blower motor or impeller, if either of these are faulty or have an object stuck inside, the low current available to the motor on setting 1 may not be sufficient to turn the motor. Higher current on 2 to 4 may be able to overcome the motor and impeller's reluctance to turn.

Regards

The problem is solved now. The reason for that was the burnt resistor pack. Was really hard to find it. It is on the left side of the car inside the ventilation duct, after the blower. Also it was really tight insight.
Just got the second-hand one (but working) for abt 15EURO

Could you post a picture of the location or give a more detailed description ?

My stage 2 has now stopped working and if this is simpler than taking the whole dash off, I'd like to check first !!

thanks !!

Hi, Sorry for the late answer. On the left side of a car (I have a left-handed Benz) inside the ventilation duct you can find 4 thick wires connected. This duct is under the dashboard - you just need to look from underneath. This is a resistor pack. First you disconnect the wires and then take out the pack. To take it out from the duct was not so easy - I had to do some acrobatic (with my head uside down) using a small screwdriver to help it to go out. Originally it has two holes for the screws - but on mine there were no screw. I'll try to make a picture today and post it. Good luck.
