Over heating

Hi, The v280 is over heating in traffic, I think it is the fan.
Any idea how to get it out, its very tight down there.

Hi Ian,
I've got a V230 auto and when i sit in traffic the needle on the temp gauge used to go up to 110 befor the fan would kick in. As a result i spent over £500 trying to solve the problem only to be told that the V Class series often run hot, and it's quite common for the fan to only kick in when the needle is nearly touching the red............

Is your V280 hitting the red?

Yes, just in the red, then pumps the water out!
It has not done it again, but i have found the fan is working, it starts slowly and speeds up.
It is about 90 deg normal.
Cannot see why it overheated.
What it did do the next day was, a spark plug came loose! must have been expantion.
