It’s the 1st van I’ve owned as well as the 1st diesel. And there is a couple of question I could do with some help with.
The coil light: I seam to remember that you have to wait untill the light has gone out after turning on the ignition, before you start the van? I’m I correct in this.
I’ve sat there and waited for the light to go out and when it does, I start the van and the light comes back on, and will not shut off!! This could be me being a numb nuts, but I don’t want to screw the thing up.
The second light I have is a wheel/tire with arrows on it. Any Ideas what the hell this one is for.
If the yellow coil light comes on after starting if means there is a 'problem' with the glow plugs. It could be that a glow plug has gone, or that the relay is faulty. I have had the same problem for nearly a year. If your engine starts fine, then my advice is to leave it alone. Trying to replace a siezed glow plug should be avoided unless you have a problem starting the car. Do you live anywhere cold?
