Glow plug light - Benzworld.org

Hi,
When I turn the ignition key to no2, the glow plug light goes out as normal after a few secs.
However when I start the engine it comes back on and stays on for about 20secs, before going out.

Is this normal?
The handbook says that the light should not come back on when the ignition is started.

Hi, In my experience this means that you have 1 or more dead glowplug's, it's happened to me twice in the past 6 month's, a single plug was found to be dead each time.(please dont take this as gospel get it checked out by a good mechanic or MB dealer)
