Edit:Let me save you all the reading, skip to the bottom for the edit, I need to either intake less caffeine or get more sleep It's a factory part I'm looking for.
My 406 came with only two hydraulic connections up front (or technically, one spool?), ie, hooked up to an implement, I have up/down. But the valve block and everything else is under the hood and controls are on the column so I want to add the other spool (left/right). Should be as simple as removing the two plugs in the spool block and adding the appropriate hardware. Right? (the ones circled, no the one's the arrows point to)
So I bought the correct pipes from Von to add the full kit, another spool up front, as well as two rear rubber lines to the rear. This pic will help explain what I have now in RED and what I bought in GREEN That includes the two hollow banjo bolts for the double stacked side (closer to the passenger side)
Now I really only want to use the hard pipes, the two soft hoses are to add two rear lines factory style (always hooked up, you just use the front or the back, not both at the same time, obviously), but I can just use 90's plugged in up front and run 4 hoses to the back if I want rear outputs (and I do, that's coming next) and there's enough clutter under the hood in that area, I don't want to use them (but they are essential to lift the hard pipes up, as well as the hollow banjo bolts have lower holes to supply them with fluid)
So, my plan was to just use the soft hoses as a riser, and have them cut off and soldered (brazed?) shut maybe, but then I stumbled across this picture
It appears to be what I'm looking for, the second set is lifted up enough to clear the first set (that's necessary, trust me I tried to jam them under the hood tonight flush with the spool block, they don't go, they need to sit on the soft lines for clearance) but without the rubber hoses or anything. That's what I'm trying to do.
Is it....as simple as fitting a pipe? the right sized pipe? and...I'm done? is that's what's going on here? Have I been over-thinking this and just need a darn pipe that's the same size as the banjo bolt to plug the lower holes and lift up the hard lines to clear? (with copper crush washers in between)
Or should I continue on the path, cut the pipes that lead to the soft lines, have them brazed up, basically turning them into risers and call it a day?
EDIT:
Should have checked the EPC before posting (and ordering! HA!) I see what I'm looking for is a factory option. Answered most of my own question. Now I wonder, is it just a pipe? Or do I need to get the factory "thing" ? Anyone have a set they want to get rid of?
