And one of my all time favorite snow cutters on Craigslist, it has the most amazing cab lift I've ever seen!

This has been offered for sale now and then on Craigslist for the last 3 years or so, originally was asking $60,000:
Unimog Rotary Snow Cutter

That 404 reminds me of the 404 that was for sale in Maine several years ago. I liked the one in Maine which pictures showed it blowing snow and it was still the army green it also had the rotary windows. The owner I believe ended up splitting up the unit and still has the blower attachment and motor for sale on the Exchange post #40.

The 404 appears to be in excellent condition. If I didn't already have one....

As far as I know, Beilhack never provided a spec for clearing capacity. On another thread someone (maybe ACAD cowboy?) did a back-of-the-envelope calculation that seemed pretty good, but I don't remember what it was.

I talked to the owner of the 404 last night. The mog came from a civilian airport in Joplin, MO, where it lived indoors.

I never saw any figures on that. I've used one of these blowers, modified to fit my Case 406, for 7 or 8 years now. It's a different animal with respect to the drum-style cutters as that it is not made to clear hard, compacted snow. My unit came from a German military airfield. In that capacity it would have served well in clearing fresh snow. Give me 18" or less of ~fresh powder and it will clear as fast as I can drive - the limiting factor being visibility. They were not nuts to install the circular windshield wipers!

I think he is trying to determine what it is worth on the fly, and that's probably why he didn't put a price in his ads.
