There's one of the German unimog forums which is trying to track all the dokas, if I remember when I'm on a pc I've got a bookmark for it. I know of a white one on 12.5's which used to belong to donk on Difflock, a blue x coastguard (very rusty chassis), and heard of a couple more in the uk. I think one was red with an external climbing frame cage.
Sorry about your backup mishap
I have not read your whole eBay ad so how many factory 404 Doka's are we saying are out there? And where UK only or worldwide or?
From what I've read there are 86 404.1 dokas. Although there are possibly two batches, the early batch of 86 which were the gun tractors and a later batch of around 40 which were used for driver training, or the 86 went on to driver training.
1264 pcs. 404.1 doka with hardtop where bulit, 516 pcs. of the 404.0 doka hardtop.
may be i'll find out how many convertibles.
the doka mil where oderd for light artillerie, to tow the gun and carry munition and the 6 person crew as a fast attack group.
it did not succed as good as the generality thought bevore.
so the Bundeswehr converted nearly all of them to driving school vehicles with double pedals.
Just curious tho, if your doka was NOT used for driver training, why has it got the extra master cylinder reservior on the passenger 'B' post, normally fitted for the duel control brakes?
Extra master cylinder reservoir? There's another one!!! Not that I've found. That one is where I top up for bleeding the brakes, so it's defiantly connected.
I've been told that it was a gun tractor due to its age. 59 is supposed to be early for a doka.
