Case high volume hydraulic system hoses

All,

I need to replace the two large hoses and associated fittings that are located in the bed next to the left side Case bed frame support (the ones stored in a loop in case the pump is turned on). I could not get the quick connect off so I ended up cutting the hose so I could unscrew both fittings. Since there aren't any numbers visible from the outside of the fitting, the guy at the hydraulic shop could not determine what to use in the reconstruction. Anybody know what size and type these fittings are. I'd like to keep them the same as what was originally supplied.

Thanks,
Blane

Blane, are you looking for the threaded end that is crimped on, or the disconnect, or the type of hose? I have a lower PTO and hydraulic pump. The fittings look to be a standard thread, not metric. The stock mog hydraulics use BPP (british parallel pipe) thread, I would assume that the Case additions use a standard american hydraulic fitting. Note the first three letters of the word assume though, maybe a pic would help.

You could call Case. From my experience they have parts available for the Case components (but not the MB ones). Parts manual gives Case part number for the hose as "R 36060" , further identifying it as being 45 inches long.

Male coupling part number (Case) is "D 52694"

Seth,

Thanks for your reply. I am trying to find out the type and size of quick disconnect fittings that are located at the ends of the two large hoses up on the bed of the Case trucks with this option installed. When not in use the two hoses are normally hooked together into a loop to minimize damage if the bottom PTO is indvertently engaged.

MogMountain,
Thanks for the Case part numbers. I will use those as a backup if I can't find what I need at my local hydraulic shop. (Does you manual show the female quick connect part number as well?)

Thanks,
Blane

Hi Blane,

I believe I have just what you're looking for. I'll need to see if I have a camera here to take a pic or two to send you. If good used parts are OK send me an Email off list. rimogs(at)aol.com

It's interesting to see how that particular truck was connected. Note the upper flex hose has no quick connect. It's looped back to the lower return QC. Eliminates one QC by doing it that way. My 406's have double QC's.

FYI but you probably already know, that 'chunk' on the left of the picture is the over pressure bypass valve.

Both my Case units were configured that way. Easy to loop, and also removed any chance of misconnecting the hoses (provided your implement had one long hose to compensate). Of course, could solve the mis-connection issue by alternating QC orientation (Male to female/female to male).

Don't see how a QC is eliminated as each hose has either a male or female end - they're just looped into each other.
