The normal rear seat on a DOKA consists of a sheetmetal box support frame (and storage) and a hinged seat section. There is a separate rear cushion
which is mounted to its own welded, bolt-in frame.
Looks like I need to start by building a proper base. That should be pretty easy. The hard part is building something that can be upholstered. I also want to fabricate a rear seat that can be folded flat for camping. Any ideas there...?
I've been thinking about taking mine out and replacing it with bucket seats matching the front. Do you have any photos of a DOKA with rear buckets John?
hmmm.... an injured party you lay in the back seat... or of course the occasional single lady... would appreciate you keeping the bench seat arrangement:thumbsup:
I have a third row seat from a Ford Excursion that I am trying to figure out how to mount in place of my rear seat, as that seat has proper support and springing under the foam .
