Von, that's EXACTLY the kind of Mog that MIGHT get 100K if you bling it enough !
Maybe you can sell it to Leno - he has a weakness for that kind of stuff.
* Bling 24's with aggressive road tires
* Monster stereo w/ DVD player
* Chromatic paint job
* Mike Lavallee Tru-Fire flame job
* Pop-off's on the turbo for that Fast'N'Furious sound
* ChromeChromeChrome
With that motor, it ought to be able to win burn-out contests too !
Seriously !
This one is going to be my own truck! Yes it will have some bling and a fancy paint job. I figure if I'm going to have a nice truck I might as well have a fast one as well!
Its not that I really want to go that fast, but it sure will be nice to drive 60mph and only be turning around 2200 RPM's.
I have a 416 DOKA in NH that I have been restoring for about two years (most if which was spent waiting for parts.) It will be done and for sale in 2-3 months. It will not be a $15k truck though. It will be a $32k truck with brand new XM-47s, a rebuilt tranny, a Schmidt FL-4 front loader (fresh hoses and paint), an 8 foot dump bed (brand new steel in the bed with rhino coating), brand new electric/hydraulic ram (this is a long frame truck), many new parts such as windshield, seals, etc... It does not have fast axles.
The pic I have attached is from before the renovation was started. When done, the truck will have an off-white top (from drip rail on roof edge up - done to keep truck cooler in the summer) and be an original 1974 Mercedes green paint color everywhere else.
Contact me at grant at fastasset.com for more details.
Ben, thanks but not quite what I am looking for....
Chas....thanks for the offer but way out of my $$ range
Endlessearth, yours will be a very nice truck, but out of my range and not fast axled...I am looking more for what yours was when you started, except with fast axles.

Just thought i would update my search. I found my 416 Doka and it is stuffed into a 20' container and should be arriving in the states May 23rd.
It is a high roof long wheelbase, which seems rare. It will need some work and I am ok with that, i look forward to meeting some of the local moggers. I plan to also be at the calico mogfest as well. I am sure i will have more than a few questions once i get my wrenches on her...
Nice looking truck! My first thought was; no way that cab will go in that container! Then I realized the fellow is removing the wheels. Duh! Congrats on finding what you wanted!!
