A good couple of days in... weld, cut, hammer weld... might not look like much but there's real metal now ! All new parts are out of 20 gauge steel, it's amazing what a useful tool an old anvil can be for doing nice radius work...
Much more to go, but the weather gets nicer by the day, gives one incentive !
Tiger Hair? Never heard of it so did a search. Looks intresting.
TIGER HAIR The original long fiber fiberglass reinforced filler. Extra high strength and waterproof. Can be used with or without fiberglass cloth or mat. Blue cream hardener included. QUART
Another day, another doughnut ! The fender is coming back to shape. Got rid of a really shabby patch job on the nose and replaced with 10 gauge steel...
Now that you have everything disassembled I suggest that you do a nice heat/noise insulation job. Do it now or you will regret not doing it when you have everything assembled. I would love to have my cab disassembled all the way to re-do some things.
Saludos

Looking good GB! I love this type of work (welding new longitudinals on my '67 911R project this weekend). Looks like you are doing it right too. Keep us posted with many progress photos.
I am supposed to get my truck painted in May so I am sure I will be picking your brain on dissassembly issues.
... not a lot of progress over the last couple, real work took priority. Some more patching, cleaned and painted the winch... loving the Dupont Imron. Now the question is front or rear mount... but that's another thread !
another beautiful day...the kipperspine was reallllly rusty, but she blasted up graet and has a fresh coat of primer here. Thinking about spray on bedliner for added protection...
...and I actually drove my Mog today ! OK I picked it up with a forklift and moved it to the lower building to make room for this !... but the wheels were turning so does that count ???
