Today the Front Range of the Rockies was in the 50s and the big snow piles were melting fast. To the west the 14teeners were looking real wintery with snow coming down - probably the effects of the Pacific storms rolling in from the west. These storms have not made it over the Continental Divide as of today though. They're supposed to roll in within the next day or two.
My Case is doing a great job of busting through the deep wet concrete-like drifts. It has already saved me at least $800 of snow removal in the last month. I am very happy with it so far. It is a diesel pig though.
Got a couple of hours in this evening to fab some aftercooler mounts in this lovely 65º + weather !!! Makes the radiator look ratty though... more paint...
... it's getting tight in there !! After carefully lowering the cab I'm thinking I should redo the fan shroud mounting brackets to push the assembly back a couple of inches. Or I could buy one of those sexy new grilles....
Greg,
I saw where one guy just sliced his front grill vertically and spaced the driver's side forward to make room for the intercooler. I can't find the picture, but
he bumped it forward and welded an angle on each side of it, so that the original 1/4 turn latches still held it on, and it was still a one piece grill. I can't remember what he did with the top, where it sat proud of the hood.

Hey what do you mean you can't find the picture !!! ...could do that and use flatstock across the top to bridge the gap, but after spending all day upside down welding the frame back together on my '91 POS Cherokee to pass inspection, I might be worried if anything would be left.. Or was it a bad idea to use .045 wire on a paper thin frame !!! Those picky DMV guys !
