minimog has its limits

a few moggers decided to go out at weekend to a quarry (cowm ) near me to give minimog a try out
the normally 1/4 hour drive took 45mins good job i had mogscrapper following to fend of the stressed drivers
we got there anyway after messing about dave decided he wanted to go mudboggin so he sends me first to see how far we could get because it would be easier to recover minimog did realy well untill the tyres cloged up it dident have the speed to spin the wheels to clear them of the sticky stuff
i also was struggling to get up the steep hills because you carnt get any momentum you have to just crawl up an hope you have enough traction to get up and over
had a good time just have to change my driving style to suit minimog or just get dave to drag me through the deep mud and up the steep climbs

Mogs definatly require a different driving style. And your little diesel mog will require alot of attention due to the lack of RPMs. A 404 with gas motor can hit 5K, and get things moving, but your little 4cyl is likely limited on RPM range I would imagine. Even so, stock 404,s could use a bit more pep.

the gearing is so low you set off in 3rd and by the time your doing 10mph your in top it even has the crawler gears in but i dont think their ever going to be used is there any way of sweezing a bit more power out of it

Dude! I wasn't being sarcastic! Dave did invite me, but we've taken too many bits off it (for rollcage) to be ar5ed to put them back on again.

We'll see you next time.
